Downloaded this to check the shutter court on my 550D (t2i) and it worked great.
Worked on both my Canon 7Ds like a charm! Thank you!
Worked as soon as I plugged and turned on my camera (t3i).
Downloaded the app, plugged in my camera, launched the app and checked shutter actuations for my Canon 5D Mark III in less than a minute. Nothing else in life is so easy. Thanks, Konstantin.
Very accurate and very precise ,,, i verified my shuttercount and conterchecked it with files on my hard drive….. its spot on ….. great easy app
Works great THANK YOU!!!!
This does exactly what it says it does. I am a professional photographer for a media company and I have been trying to find a program to find out my shuttercount. I have looked everywhere and nothing seemed to work. I was somewhat skeptical, since it seemed to easy and flawless, but this is an amazing app, works just like it says. Anyone with cannon should use it, I reccomend it.
Ran the app.. plugged in my 5DMkII… turned the camera on, and poof all the data was right there on the screen. Does exactly what it says!
I was looking for a OS X program to do this (new to Mac) and this little program has exactly what I wanted. 5 stars!
This is not giving me proper info on my 7D. It’s not even reading the serial number correctly.
This app does one thing and does it very well: tell you how many shutter actuations that a given Canon DSLR has. It’s a great way to measure the “mileage” of a camera. And it’s a nice tool if you want to prove the shutter count when selling a camera. It’s very silly that Canon doesn’t give users a way to see how many clicks are on a camera, and this app solves that silly problem. Well done.
It only performs one function and does so perfectly. What else could you ask for?
The serial number displayed by this program did not match my camera (Canon 7D). Given this bogus information, i have no confidence that the shutter count is any more accurate. I have received no response from the support email address after several days.
I use this app with my old Canon EOS 40D. The shutter count and all the other info is displayed very easily and straightforward. However the serial numer is displayed incorrect, as others have mentioned as well. Interestingly, the EXIF data on my photos DO state the correct serial number (the number on the sticker at the bottom of the camera body, just to clarify) If I were ever to use this info as a selling tool to display my cameras low shutter count, I will simultaniously raise the issue of a mismatching serial number, hence the buyer might think i am trying a "bait and switch”. Therefore, this app has only limited use for me, even if I do (want to) believe the shutter counts are retrieved and displayed correctly. PS: and NO, the EXIF data on the 40D does not contain the shutter count info, unlike it is the case with some other camera models ...
wanted to make sure I was getting a brand new one, and sure enough, I was…
I’m not sure whether to trust the results of the app - some info is correct, some incorrect. Correct firmware and name but the serial number and battery level are incorrect. So, what does that mean for the shutter count … does it fall into the category of correct info or incorrect!?
Used it with my Canon 50d - it shows an incorrect serial number. Not sure if the shutter count is correct, but after purchasing a different, better app, confirmed that both got the same shutter count. Still, for sales purposes, kind of useless if the S/N is not accurate.
I tried it for my 5Dll and 1DX. it work fine. But not my 1D IV ! I want to sell my 1D IV. SO this is why i buy this app! DISAPPOINTED!
The shutter count appears to be correct. It’s cheap, it’s fast, it’s easy to use. All good things. However, the serial number is displayed incorrectly. Comes up as a negative number instead of a the actual number. I feel like this should be fixed, given that it’s a paid application. If the 7D is listed as a compatible camera, all the information should be correct. Or, there should be an * with exceptions. That’s not quite on the up and up, far as I’m concerned. This app would be 5 stars were it not for that. Seems like a small thing, but the app is $2 and it doesn’t do anything except Serial, Shutter Activations and Firmware Version. 2 out of 3 correct isn’t quite enough. Given that, I would probably still buy it over again because the shutter count does seem to work. It’s just good to know what you’re getting, though. Also of note, I had to power cycle my camera to get the shutter count to update properly. Quitting the app, unplugging the camera from USB and re-plugging and re-opening were not enough. Just an FYI tidbit.
